FMS Training by Julian Earnshaw an experienced Health and Safety Professional with 20 year’s experience in creating and delivering short course Health and Safety training.
Holder of a Post Graduate Diploma in Health and Safety Management, City and Guilds Certificate in Teaching (7304).
Types of health and safety training undertaken including:
Machine Specific Operator safety awareness Training in accordance with Regulation 9 PUWER (Fourth Edition 2014 L22) and the Wood Machining (Second edition 2014 L114) and/or Engineering Machinery (Second edition 2011 HSG129) ACOP

Manual handling, Lifting and Slinging
Welding Safely

Training the Trainer
The majority of the courses are certificated one-day courses (two days for training the trainer), delivered at your premises and on your machines, designed to promote safety awareness, the safe use of woodworking /metal working machinery and assess health and safety competence. Upon completion of the course candidates will:
Be aware of their duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
Be aware of the requirements of Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998.
Be aware of the specific risks associated with the use of the machines.
Understand the purpose and importance of protective and preventative measures.
Be competent in safely setting up, carrying out procedures and returning the machine to a state of safety.
